IP Filtering

-

-

DISABLE

Enables/Disables the function that restricts access based on IP address. However, this function requires sufficient knowledge about IP addresses.

For general use, be sure to set this setting to DISABLE.

If you set this setting to ENABLE, TCP/IP access becomes completely unavailable unless the following settings are set.

(If IP filtering is enabled, access using IPv6 becomes unavailable.)

Start Address #1 - 10

-

-

0.0.0.0

Specifies the IP address to which to permit access to the printer.

You can specify a range of IP addresses as well as an individual IP address. Specify the range of the address ("Start Address" and "End Address"). Entering 0.0.0.0 disables the IP Filtering function.

End Address #1 - 10

-

-

0.0.0.0

Printing #1 - 10

-

-

DISABLE

Permits printing from IP addresses set in IP Address Range#1-10.

Config #1 - 10

-

-

DISABLE

Permits setting change from IP addresses set in IP Address Range#1-10.

Administrator's IP Address setting

-

-

0.0.0.0

Specifies the administrator's IP address. This address can always access the printer.

However, if the administrator is using settings that enable access to the printer via a proxy, the proxy address is applied. If the proxy address is applied, anyone accessing via the proxy is permitted access to the printer.

It is ideal that the administrator access the printer without going through a proxy.
