MAC Address Filtering

-

-

DISABLE

Enables/Disables the function that controls access based on MAC address. However, this function requires sufficient knowledge about MAC addresses. For general use, be sure to set this setting to DISABLE.

If you set this setting to ENABLE, network access becomes completely unavailable unless the following settings are set.

Communication from the following MAC Addresses

-

-

ACCEPT

Sets whether to permit access from a MAC address set in MAC Address Access#1-50.

Filtering MAC Address #1-50

-

-

00:00:00: 00:00:00

Specifies the MAC address to which to permit (deny) access to the printer. Entering 00:00:00:00:00:00 disables the restriction.

Administrator's MAC Address setting

-

-

00:00:00: 00:00:00

Specifies the administrator's MAC address.

This address can always access the printer. However, if the administrator is using settings that enable access to the printer via a proxy, the proxy address is applied. If the proxy address is applied, anyone accessing via the proxy is permitted access to the printer.

It is ideal that the administrator access the printer without going through a proxy.
