For the USB Connection

Connect the printer to a computer with a USB cable, and then set the language that is displayed on the operator panel.

Memo

Use a USB2.0 cable that is 5 m or shorter in length (2 m or shorter is recommended).

  1. Check that the printer and the PC are connected, and that the power is on.

  2. Insert the "Software DVD-ROM" into a computer.

  3. When [AutoPlay] is displayed, click [Run Setup.exe].

    Memo

    If the [User Account Control] dialog box is displayed, click [Yes].

  4. Select a language from the drop-down list.

  5. Read the license agreement, and then click [Agree].

  6. Read the "Environmental advice for Users" thoroughly, and click [Next].

  7. Select [USB connection], and click [Next].

  8. Select the printer to be set, and click [Next].

  9. Click [Next]. When the message "The installation of software has not completed." appears, click [Yes].

  10. Click [Language Settings].

  11. Select the language you want to set, and then click [Setup].

  12. Enter the password, and then click [OK].

  13. When a setting completion message is displayed, click [OK].

    The printer restarts.
