Setting the Network According to the Usage Environment and Application

You can obtain the IP address from the DHCP server.

Note

  • You must have the administrator rights for the computer to complete the setup.

  • An incorrect entry of an IP address results in a failure that does not allow for a connection via a network. Consult with your network administrator before setting.

  • Using DHCP

DHCP is a protocol to dynamically assign an IP address to each host on a TCP/IP network. This section describes how to set up the printer and a computer so that DHCP can be used.

  • Using the Printer in the IPv6 Environment
