If the Error Code is "372"

This section describes how to clear a paper jam in the duplex printing unit in the printer.

  1. Open the top cover.

    Burns may result.

Do not touch the fuser, because it is very hot.

  2. Take the image drum out.

    Note

    • Use extra care when handling the image drum (the green cylinder), because it is fragile.

    • Do not expose the image drum to direct sunlight or strong light (approximately 1,500 lux or more). Even under room lighting, when leaving the image drum cartridge for 5 minutes or more, put sheets of paper over it to shield it from the light.

Even with sheets of paper put over the image drum cartridge, do not leave it for one hour or more.

  4. Pull the transcription unit out.

Gently pull the transcription unit out of the printer main unit.

  5. Remove the paper from the duplex printing section.

  6. To put the transcription unit back into the printer main unit, first insert the tabs on both sides of the top end of the transcription unit into their holder sections (1) of the printer main unit.

  7. Insert the tabs on the back side of near the handles on both sides of the transcription unit into the holes (1) of the printer main unit.

  8. Turn the handles on both sides of the transcription unit in the direction of the arrow on the side, and then secure the transcription unit to the printer main unit.

    Note

Do not touch the sponge roller of the transcription unit.

  9. Align the four guide posts (ABCD) with their guide grooves inside the printer, and then put the image drum back into the printer gently.

  10. Close the top cover.
