Information to be Checked First

  • Check the LINK lamp (green). They light up or flash when a connection is established with 1000BASE-T/100BASE-TX/10BASE-T. If the relevant lamp does not light up or flash, the network is not operating correctly.

  • Check the STATUS lamp (orange). This lamp flashes during data reception. If the lamp does not flash, the network is not operating correctly.

  • The hub's LINK lamp does not light up.

  • There is no response to Ping.

  • A print job ends incompletely or is canceled.

  • Check that the printer is turned on.

  • Ensure that the cable is connected to the printer.

  • Check that the printer is connected with a correct cable. There are two types of cable: straight and cross cables. Use a straight cable to connect to a hub.

  • Connect the cables before turning the printer on. If you turn on the printer before connecting the cables, you may not be able to connect to a network.
