

On Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 the Windows firewall function is enhanced. The following restrictions may apply to printer drivers and utilities.

When the [Don't allow exceptions] check box is selected in the Firewall settings, you cannot search for a printer in a segment that is connected to another router. Printers connected to the same segment do not have this problem. Even if you cannot search for a printer, you can make settings by directly entering the IP address on the [Add Printer] or [Confirm Connections] screen. |
